About the Bay Area Blitzkrieg
This club was formed in 2017 by a small group of individuals with a common interest.
Radio Controlled Tanks and Vehicles!
Over the years the club has evolved from a few members to a nice size group (and growing). Instead of a few model tanks, there are more tanks and other vehicles as well as dioramas adding some realism to the events.
The "BAB" is open to all who enjoy radio controlled armor. Although we fare focused on 1/16 scale WWII armor, members also have tanks and other armor from different periods.
Bi-weekly meets as well as special events are open to all with NO membership fees.

Where we operate our Armor
Important Meet Notice:
After several years, we will probably change our meet location which should have less impact (shells, gravel, sand, etc.) to our tanks. The next meet will be May 24, 2026, weather permitting, will be at this location. (The previous meet (April 26, 2026 was a test.) A more detailed location within the park will be posted after the next meet.
May 10 meet did not happen as it coincided with Mothers Day.

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at Largo Central park Nature Preserve, Largo, Florida. The address is: 150 Highland Ave N, Largo, FL 33770.
To get to the site we use for operating our tanks, urn south off of East Bay Drive at the Highland Avenue traffic light. Follow the road past Race-Trac through to the park gate (opened). Continue on the paved road following the curves lef,t, and enter the parking lot to the restrooms and turn left past the nearby restrooms. Limited spaces are available right where we set up our tanks and diorama. However, there is overflow parking very close as well.
Meets usually start at 11AM and run to 1PM and occasionally later if there is a lot of activity. Meets are based on weather conditions and there are no meets during major holidays.
