A good WWII diorama item to have for RC tank meets is a Jeep. Finding a 1/16 scale jeep at a reasonable price is impossible. The origins of this model is a toy jeep and trailer set was from Amazon, “Click N' Play Military Logistics Transport Unit 16 Piece Play Set.” This was extensively modified to make a close replica of the real jeep and is an asset to the diorama.
All marking on the model reflects the same marking on the real jeeps. This was achieved by making decals. Other modifications were made, some major like cutting back the grill, sides, front and rear fenders, interior, as well as some minor changes. Some partsthat came with the model were not used. A 50 caliber MG (tank extra) was added along with a scratch built pedestal.
