Lew's Model Boats - Lowboy Semi

About
After building several 1/16 scale models (boats and land vehicles) how would it be to have a matching 1/16 scale radio controlled semi-trailer to do some hauling? Well, several companies make just that, a 1/16 low boy combination – but it is a toy. Some are good enough to modify to be radio controlled model.
Besides installing the usual gear (radio control, servo, motor, gears, speed controller, axles, etc. The trail itself would not work, as it is really close to the ground and as it exists, there is no way for a vehicle such as a tank to get up on it without manual intervention. So the goal here is to make a new trailer, perhaps with a level bed and RC loading ramps or have a removable "gooseneck" for the load to move up on to the trailer.
This is what the semitrailer combination looks like out of the box: As one of Lew's many projected loads can very, this is a decision that needs to be addressed.

This photo is that of an ERTL "Big Farm" Peterbuilt 367 semi lowboy tractor trailer and was chosen for this project. Scale: 1/16.
Planning the Project
The plan is to use the to semi for measurements and make new parts to convert the 367 into a super heavy duty truck and trailer. Most of the new components will be designed and 3Dprinted.
